Processing

The process route
should follow
the ore, not the reverse.

We start with the ore, not with a preferred flowsheet. Our approach is to understand the mineral first, then build the processing route around its actual characteristics, recovery behaviour and commercial objective.

Processing framework

Six disciplines that must operate as one system.

We treat characterization, testwork, flowsheet, operating control, product quality and commercial readiness as one system. Improving one metric while ignoring the others can destroy value.

Characterization

Mineralogy, liberation, associations, particle size, oxidation, clays and problematic elements.

Metallurgical testwork

Gravity, flotation, leach or other tests according to mineral response and the target product.

Flowsheet strategy

Sequence of size reduction, concentration, cleaning, thickening, filtration and recycle management.

Production control

Mass and metal balances, sampling, QA/QC, recoveries, grades, moisture and reconciliation.

Product quality

Target grade, mass pull, impurities, moisture, stability and commercial specification.

Commercial readiness

Connect metallurgical performance to buyer, payables, penalties, logistics and net value.

Critical questions

Recovery is not the only KPI.

For us, recovery is only one part of the answer. The right route must also balance product grade, mass pull, reagent consumption, impurities, moisture, stability and operating cost.

  • Where are Cu and Au mineralogically, and at what size are they liberated?
  • What fraction responds to gravity, flotation, leach or a combination?
  • Which impurities concentrate and how do they affect the buyer?
  • Can the circuit sustain product quality as feed variability changes?
  • Do mass and metal balances close across feed, products and tailings?
Production traceability

Preserve material identity through processing.

We keep the received lot linked to the crushing or grinding batch, blend, packed product and export lot so material identity is not lost as the ore moves through the process.
